Lost

I'm feeling lost...again.

Some of my friends who are going through the same thing call it the quarter-life crisis. But is it really possible to have a quarter-life crisis for three years?

I feel that I am not going anywhere. What scares me is that I don't know where I want to go in the first place. The thing about me is, humility aside, I am good at a lot of things but I'm not great at anything. As they say, the jack of all trades but the master of none. I love a lot of things -- dancing, playing sports, music, art, my pets...but I can never find something I am passionate about. I know I can do great things....I know I can make a difference in someone's life. I just don't know how or what or when I will be able to do that and I don't know where to start.

Coincidences

One of the most interesting books I’ve read is “The Celestine Prophecy”. It is actually a “new age” book which discusses the path to achieving a higher level of spirituality. I don’t know how much of the book is fictional, but the story really struck me.

I think what struck me the most was the discussion on how important coincidences are in our lives. In fact, these so-called coincidences are really some kind of signs that guide us into making the right decisions or going the right path. Everything happens for a reason. We don’t meet people or stumble upon anything by chance. What’s important is for us to make a conscious effort to take note of these seeming coincidences so that we will see the signs.

Some people will probably feel that this is a bit far-fetched. If you are in doubt, maybe you should give it a try. From my experience, taking note of these coincidences has really enriched my life. It has given me the chance to really take advantage of each situation that comes my way and has allowed me to have no regrets in anything that I do.

What Are You Sure Of?

This was a question a friend of mine asked me and a group of friends one Saturday evening. Two of them immediately answered the same thing -- they are not sure of anything. I never got to share my answer, but that question really got me thinking. I thought of all kinds of deeply profound lines, but found that the simplest answer was the truest one.

I am sure that the one person I can really depend on AT ALL TIMES, is myself.

What are YOU sure of?
