My Greatest Fear
I am sure that you have been asked "what is your greatest fear" many times in your life by now. My answers have changed through the years...being alone, death, failure.
I still fear those things and a lot of other things, but there is no ONE thing I fear the greatest. I guess that's just how it is when you grow up and go through so many experiences. However, if I were forced to give an answer to that question, I would have to say that my greatest fear is coming to the point when I have nothing to fear.
I feel that having fears is something that keeps me human. It keeps me grounded but at the same time motivates me to do something beyond my perceived limitations. I feel that the rewards of facing something you fear are incomparable to anything else.
Does this make any sense?

Excerpt from Wasting Time by: Jack Johnson
I don't pretend to know what you know
Now please don't pretend to know what's on my mind
If we already knew everything that everybody knows
We would have nothing to learn tonight.
But everybody thinks that everybody knows
About everybody else but nobody knows
Anything about themselves,
because they're all worried about everybody else
Now please don't pretend to know what's on my mind
If we already knew everything that everybody knows
We would have nothing to learn tonight.
But everybody thinks that everybody knows
About everybody else but nobody knows
Anything about themselves,
because they're all worried about everybody else
